About the Academy

The Academy

Outwood Primary Academy Darfield is located in an attractive modern building in Darfield village on the outskirts of Barnsley. Our school is an important part of the community and we have a strong ethos of care and nurture. We expect and guide all children to behave with a respect for themselves, for others and for their learning.

The school provides extended services such as a breakfast club, family learning events, a variety of after school clubs and access to a range of community and family resources. We have a 52 place Lower Foundation Stage class (nursery) which operates alongside our 30 place Upper Foundation Stage class (reception) as an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit which ensures that children receive an inclusive, personalised education right from the start.
